Now you can run this code using the run button, and you’ll see a window that uses the JFreeChart libary to create a bar chart: You can type your code into Eclipse (after creating a project and a class) just like you could in a basic text editor. This finally gives you a Java class you can type your code into! This dialog contains a bunch of options you can set, but for now just give your class a name and click the Finish button. That brings up the New Java Class dialog. First, create a new class by expanding your project in the Package Explorer, then right-clicking the src directory, expanding the New menu, and then clicking the Class option. Now that you have a project, you can finally start writing code. Now you should see your project in the Package Explorer tab in Eclipse: This dialog lets you change settings for your project, but for now just give your project a name and click the Finish button. This opens up the New Java Project dialog. ProjectsĮclipse organizes code into projects, so before we can start writing code we have to create a project. We’ll focus on the ones you care about, and you can ignore the rest for now. You should see something like this:Įclipse has a bunch of different tools and buttons, but don’t feel overwhelmed. Freel free to close that tab, and uncheck the “Always show Welcome at start up” checkbox. That will finally open up Eclipse, which by default will show you a Welcome screen. But as you write more code, you might want to split it up into multiple workspaces: you might have the stuff you work on for your job or for school in one workspace, and the stuff you work on for fun in another workspace. Starting out, you’ll probably only use one workspace, so you can also check the “Use this as the default and do not ask again” checkbox as well. You can choose whatever directory you want here (again, the default is fine). The directory you choose here will be where your code and settings files are saved. The first thing Eclipse will do is ask you for a workspace directory:Įclipse needs a place to put your code and your settings, and that’s what a workspace is. After the installer finishes, launch Eclipse! Workspaces Install Eclipse wherever you want (the default location it suggests is fine). But you can always upgrade from Java to Java EE later, so for now I would just choose the Java version. Otherwise you should just install the Java version. So if you’re going to write server code, then you should install the Java EE version. The Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers includes those tools, plus some extra tools for writing server code. The Eclipse IDE for Java Developers includes all of the tools you need to write Java code. The first screen of the installer will ask you which version of Eclipse you want: Download the Eclipse installer from there, and then run the installer. Go to the Eclipse homepage and find the download page. (And most of the stuff you learn about here will apply to other IDEs as well.) Downloading Eclipse This tutorial introduces you to another IDE called Eclipse, which is one of the most common IDEs used for Java development. The Processing editor ran your code when you pressed the play button, and it showed you errors without going through the command line. If you’re coming from a Processing background, remember that you wrote Processing code in the Processing editor. But as you start working on more complicated code, you’re probably going to want to use an integrated development environment, aka an IDE.Īn IDE is a more advanced code editor that also includes tools for navigating your code more easily, as well as compiling and running your code without going through the command line. It’s a good idea to start programming this way, so you understand the basics of compiling, running, setting the classpath, and looking stuff up in the Java API. So far, we’ve been using a basic text editor to edit our code, and we’ve been using the command line to compile and run our classes.

Grimlock then made his way to the town in time to save Cade and Izzy from Barricade, swatting the Decepticon with his tail, before slamming Megatron himself into the ground. Grimlock joined Slug in laying a trap for the pursuing TRF forces, bursting from beneath the road leading to the town and destroying the convoy. As their enemies prepared to invade, Cade and the Autobots escaped to a nearby town to carry out their emergency plan. The next day, their refuge was discovered by the Decepticons and the T.R.F. is a massive website about Transformers toys, cartoons, comics, and movies. Grimlock later relaxed in the scrapyard while Cade called his daughter Tessa. Cade then turned on his assistant Jimmy for not keeping Grimlock under control, who pointed out that without Cade the Autobots were uncontrollable and Grimlock had tried to eat him at least once. Grimlock tried to hide the cruiser by eating it but was eventually berated into vomiting it back up. On the day Cade encountered a dying Cybertronian knight, he returned to find an angry sheriff demanding the return of his vehicle. Unfortunately, he developed a habit of stealing the local sheriff's cruiser and using it as a chew toy. In the years following the battle in China, Grimlock joined the Autobots in hiding at Cade Yeager's scrapyard. After the battle, Grimlock and his Dinobots left the Autobots with good terms, running off to the countryside during sunset. Later, his efforts were focused on blocking a bridge so that Galvatron and the Decepticons cannot get the Seed. However, Optimus saved the day by shooting towards the magnet. After the rampage, Lockdown returned and attempted to retrieve Optimus, Grimlock, and the others with a giant magnet. Then, the Dinobots and the Autobots led a widespread rampage in which destroyed most of Galvatron's forces. Within minutes, Optimus beat the giant warrior, and Grimlock decided to join forces. Grimlock, however, refuses and began attacking Optimus. Soon, Optimus freed the Dinobots and asked for their assistance to the Autobots. Later, when the ship arrived at Hong Kong and was ready to pick up KSI's CEO, Joshua Joyce, and the Seed, a Trax arrived and shot the ship, sending it pummeling towards the nearby Wulong Valley. Later, when the Autobots, Cade Yeager, and Shane Dyson arrived to rescue Optimus and Tessa, Hound flew this prison away(since it was a detachable part of the ship) and sent the Autobots to a trainyard while Crosshairs and Bumblebee were fighting against Lockdown's mercenaries. It was later revealed by Lockdown that this place is the prison for the Legendary Knights, which were the Dinobots. While on Lockdown's ship, Grimlock was briefly seen when Lockdown was imprisoning and talking to Optimus Prime. Currently, all therapies used for PD can improve symptoms but do not slow or halt the disease progression. Scientists are exploring ways to identify biomarkers for PD that can lead to earlier diagnosis and more tailored treatments to slow down the disease process. The field of Parkinson’s research is ongoing and ever evolving as we learn more about this disease. The Parkinson’s Foundation research has led to breakthroughs in treatment and improved care that bring hope to the Parkinson's community. Lewy bodies (accumulation of abnormal alpha-synuclein) are found in substantia nigra neurons of people with PD. It is important to understand that motor symptoms of PD only become evident later in the course of the disease, after 60% to 80% of the substantia nigra neurons have already been lost or impaired. People with PD need this medication because they have low levels or are missing dopamine in the brain, mainly due to impairment of neurons in the substantia nigra. Working with your doctor and following recommended therapies are essential in successfully treating symptoms by using dopaminergic medications. It is possible to have a good to great quality of life with PD. The first step to living well with Parkinson’s disease is to understand the disease and the progression. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) rated complications from PD as the 14th cause of death in the U.S. While Parkinson’s itself is not fatal, disease complications can be serious. TreatmentĪlthough there is no cure, treatment options vary and include medications, lifestyle adjustments and surgery. Scientists believe a combination of genetic and environmental factors are the cause. Examples of non-motor symptoms include: depression, anxiety, apathy, hallucinations, constipation, orthostatic hypotension, sleep disorders, loss of sense of smell, and a variety of cognitive impairments.
